Velvet & Vermouth

A jazz vocalist with deep Manitoba roots, Karly brings a love of the jazz tradition together with a thoughtful, personal approach to storytelling. Her influences range from Sarah Vaughan and Shirley Horn to her mentor Gretchen Parlato, with room for both playful improvisation and the quiet emotion of a lyric.

Alongside performing, Karly brings a love of teaching, choral directing, and vocal arranging to her musical life. Her studies at the University of Manitoba and the Manhattan School of Music reflect a curiosity that reaches across singing, composition, and collaboration.

We're looking forward to sharing her music with you over a freshly prepared dinner and another warm evening at the café.

Each night at After Hours our culinary team provides a brand new menu, with rich components all made from-scratch with local ingredients grown and produced right here in Manitoba. The menu is crafted to match the season and the artist for a unique experience you won't find elsewhere in Westman.

While we don't share the menu ahead of the event, we are able to accommodate most allergies and medically restricted diets. Please be sure to add a note to your seat when you purchase your ticket so that we can do our best to make your evening memorable.
